Life’s a Pantomime
Huge Dog Productions: In March 1995 Hughie McGowan, esteemed member of the West Midlands constabulary and long-time friend of all at the Spotted Dog, came bursting into the pub in a state of extreme arousal. “I’ve just been soaping myself in the shower, and I’ve had this great idea”, quoth he. “Oh, yes,” said we, “when we were your age, sure didn’t we have the same ideas whilst soaping ourselves in the shower. Who was it this time – Jane Fonda, Marilyn, Bridie Gallagher or that old heifer with the hairy mole on her lip that you were dancing with at the Tower Ballroom last Wednesday?”
No. It was none of those. It was Pantomime.
